Subject: RE: Do bale processors save hay

all over Iowa

Kansas State did some research comparing different hay feeding methods, and processed onto the ground had less waste than feeding in rings or unrolling. I'm also a big fan of grinding it and running it through a wagon with some silage. Clients I have with a TMR used a 1/3 less feed their first year with the mixer wagon.

I do know first hand that when bedding is run through a bale processor it will go about twice as far.
