Richardson county Nebraska | With already having our first blizzard of the year I’m already concerned about having enough hay. I currently feed hay free choice in bale wagon feeders and hay rings. Have 56 fall cows with calves and 20 replacement heifers 4 bulls. They are grazing 560 acres of corn stalks,bean stubble and some grass waterways. I got a couple hundred acres of rye cover planted, but late and not much growth. Would buying a processor to feed hay make it go farther? Or should I just use that money to buy hay. |
