Cass Co. ND | Finishing soy in a few days. 2-3" of snow in them that will not melt. Have to cut 4+" off the dirt, so losses are plenty. 45 bu turns into 35 REAL FAST in these conditions. Beans that lodged are the worst. A lot of snow on them still, and that goes into the combine. Below 20*, not much problem. Above that, BIG PROBLEMS. Draper heads seem to be a HUGE problem also. Snow gets under the canvases and freezes to the drive rollers. | |
