Subject: RE: Value of dairy manure?

NW IA
I had some done a couple of years ago (20,000 gallons ) and was shocked at how low my soil test numbers were on that field last fall when I grid sampled compared to the field next to it that has received commercial fertilizer.

My comments could reasonably be ignored since this was a one time deal but I believe if approached about outside dairy pit manure again I might take it but not contribute much to the application cost.

Manure from under a roof, sampled to screen for any water issues, is less variable.

However, others who are on a regular schedule of yearly application from the same source are very pleased with the results. Just my very limited experience.
