How far is the sender from the bottom of the tank? You can measure the sender and measure tank with sender out. What you will find is the sender does not reach the bottom of the tank. Last I knew, AGCO used the same sender on the MT700, MT800, and MT900 tractors and some of the application equipment. IIRC the MT900 takes about 100 gallons to register the gauge when the tank is empty.

The monitor is calculating fuel usage from the engine controller (engine knows how much fuel is injected); the fuel gauge is merely and indicator of fuel level. If you are fueling after 11 hours and putting in 235 gallons that is 21.3 gallons/hour (mid range of 19-23gph).

Is there a place that records fuel usage (field, day, etc) that you could track gallons used once the gauge falls below registering? FWIW the fuel gauge quit working correctly in my pickup and I reset fuel used every fill and fill between 26 and 28 gallons used and it is within a gallon on the pump, could you do the same thing and fill after 250-280 gallons used?

I know I have heard guys comment on combines that they can run a couple hours after the gauge quits registering (at 25 gph that is 50-70 gallons of fuel).
