South Georgia | Yesterday I managed to crumple up the oldest (and best) working gate on our farm. It is made of some sort of galvanized steel strutting that is riveted together. This was my favorite gate on the farm as it has a place for a piece of 1/2" galvanized pipe to stand upright in the inside ends that serves to hold the gate open for you to drive through. My internet research doesn't show anyone nearby that sells these types of gates. This galvanized material hold up really well in our humidity, I'd like to buy some more. I could probably build them in my shop if I could find the material. Anyone know what this stuff is called?
