The references are there, I can not bother looking up the specific passages but they are available for anyone who wishes to look for them.

The thing is many times those passages have been reinterpreted after science points out the fallacy of the original wording and beliefs.

It was not very many years ago when the Catholic religion finally admitted that Galileo was correct when he pointed out the Earth orbited the sun and was not the centre of the universe. This hundreds of years after they persecuted him because he pointed out the truth.

It just seems natural that an all powerful, all knowing magic being would have informed mankind correctly and in a way that could not be misinterpreted IF it actually existed.
But of course the good book is as it is because it was written by men who did not have the knowledge that humans have amassed now, often while religions opposed the knowledge and correct understanding.

In regard to the original post in this thread they should read the Furrow and the quote that says "a bend in the road is not the end of the road----unless you fail to make the turn"

Colossians 4.1

Since you will make broad sweeping statements about the Bible and without support.

I will help you out:

1 Masters, provide your slaves with what is right and fair, because you know that you also have a Master in heaven.
