South Texas | Here now, any of the off stuff is big discounts. Market good on 450-550 lb black bull/steer calves, and on 600-700 lb charx bull/steer calves. Heifers 35c behind. Nobody wants a hereford, guess it beats a longhorn. And I still haven’t figured out why limousine exists.
Hereford is a terrible bull choice here. Besides getting all the regular hereford problems, it adds to the variation in the cows. Char dilutes the variations and Brangus turns them black. | |
