Bow Island, Alberta | Here they haven't upgraded the underground lines since they were installed in the 70's. Whenever there is an issue or road construction, the phone might be out for weeks. Many people have quit their landlines completely and gone to only cell phones. We use cell service for our "landline" phone. It's a signal receiver box that we connect our house phone to. Only $10/mo instead of $40 for the original hardwired landline. | |
