We did catch 2" late October and another half inch last week. That has got the summer grass growing at last, and I planted some forage as well. After 9 months with no rain there is no subsoil moisture so hopefully we get more rain before the heat of summer dries it up. Up to 9" of rain for the year now, almost into the high rainfall zone lol.

The dry stable cloudless weather we had over winter has gone and we are into more typical summer conditions with cloud building up and possible afternoon storms. Chances are we will catch the odd storm so I'm more optimistic for rain than I was through winter.
