North Central Illinois		Yeah I think some people exaggerate a little. It really does depend on what you do day in day out though. Like you said barbed wire and fencing in general are hard on jeans like many other tasks in the day to day grind of having livestock. It makes a big difference if they have two pair of work pants or six pair. I tend to keep five or six pair in the rotation all in varying states of wear or staining. Like I said I generally wear bibs when in the shop and I always wore them when working livestock too. That helped the appearance and longevity of my jeans considerably. I would have a hard time wearing out a pair of Levis in three months but if you are ranching and wear them every other day with no bibs it wouldn't take long to destroy any pair of jeans.
