| What if the Stocks report comes in 32 myn bushels lighter than expected?
It would be a big number.. but it's not like USDA hasn't printed something like that before...
We have less wheat in storage this year vs last year.. I asked some of the bigger storers at the coop this morning if they had much wheat left.. "no.. mostly sold out."
Small shifts in storage patterns vs historical norms can mess with "expected stocks" as "forecast".. are later "determined" in census data.
It's not static.. it's a dynamic system.
Furthermore, most of the "stocks" are already measured up with a hedge... aka moved into commercial storage and earning the carry. If the funds plow into shorts now.. who is left to sell?
