Keep it dry and it’ll be fine, especially in cold weather.
Only if the corn was dry when ground.
A few years ago, I had local coop deliver a load of rolled corn and had them dump it in my gravity box to use as back up feed as I rolled most of my own feed.
Didn’t think it would be a problem as I keep my dried own rolled for sometimes months on end with zero issues.
Coops feed turned green and blue in less than 8 weeks. Feed mill manager told me that it didn’t keep because it was rolled, and that it should have been fed up in less than a month. He said rolled corn “gains” moisture. Needless to say, I make all my own feed now. |
