NW Iowa | Left the feeder wagon sitting outside the other night since I mixed up a few days worth of feed. Rained 1.25" then right away below freezing. Had to mix feed last night and thought woops, bet the augers are froze down. Nope augers we're good, chain and slat conveyor was froze solid. Unfortunately the bottom is good in it so no water ran out. After several hours of chipping frozen feed out good to go again! On the plus side, all the crap feed is out of the boot...sh s going inside tonight even though no precip chances for a few days... | |
