FWIW Have a 2011 Hagie with a 120' aluminum boom
I cannot believe how much that POS has broken --thinking about getting an aluminum welder just for repair
hope if you buy composite boom you can find a way to repair --or cross your fingers and it never has issues

To add I bet the steel version will be heavy--not alot if easy answers --at long lengths
