NE Iowa | Wanting to plant one field adjacent to my permanent pasture to alfalfa primarily for grazing. In my regular alfalfa fields I plant leafhopper resistant alfalfa with a few # of orchardgrass. But for grazing should I use a creeping alfalfa variety? Or a sunken crown variety? Or just stick with my normal alfalfa? What grasses would be best to put with it? I really like orchardgrass but any suggestions on other grasses to add? Thanks. | |
