SW Wisconsin | The problem with free market economics is that it just takes so long to respond to the market. I started expanding my herd in 2013 (not responding to the market, just to utilize my most limited resources best). I got to my final size this year. Because of the lag it’s almost always better to just increase production and hope demand grows too. Adam Smith is not our friend. I’m not advocating any kind of socialist nonsense, but it would be better to have a way to incentivize moderate production over maximum production. | |
