Nebraska, The land of corn and cattle | Most everyone gets by here with 1 wire and no barrier like you're talking but our cows are used to grazing stalks all winter. The only problems are when the baby calves walk under the fence but they stay close to mama
If you're by a highway or real busy road you might think about 2. Some guys will fence almost right up to the road
