| Had I not came across the 7.3 the 4.3 / 4l60 was going to be what I was looking for. The 7.3 fits fine between the frame but the frame was lengthened 20 inches or so. The c6 actually bolted in where the t5 cross member was and then adjusted the motor brackets to fit. There is a guy in Kansas who gave me this idea. He runs a 350 engine 350 transmission setup. He still uses it to this day. Depends on how the rest of the machine is but 5 k sounds steep. I gave 2 k for mine but it needed a good bit of work and I have got away from almost every spray component of the coupe just for ease of parts availablilty and price. The 4.3/4l was I had thought a great combo. The c6 limited me to just the 1:1 od ratio so I had to lower the rear ratio from 5.89 ish to 3.08 so it would run 20 plus down the highway. With the 4l you would keep the od and with the gas engine have the rpms to move on down the highway. The frenchy diesel screamed and would run 3000-3500 . The 4.3 auto trans or manual was I thought a great option. I don’t know what all you intend on spraying but I don’t think a 220 or 230 are nearly the machine you can make the 3630 | |
