NW IA | Thanks for the reply. I have been looking for a replacement for an old Deutz 7206 that owes me nothing and have been met with "mission creep".
After starting out just wanting a cab and newer, I thought maybe this would be an opportunity to move to a FWA loader tractor, then it would be nice to have 1,000 PTO if my 4230 went down when planting.
Took a look at the 4710 Global Massey with a loader, and then came across the 2012? 5470 and loader for about the same $$.
The 5400 series has a loyal following and is in another class. But the 4710 would be new and have a warranty. But the "Dyna Four" is apples to oranges compared to the Global trans, along with the frame size.
Any bets on the life of the 4700 de-clutch style shifter? | |
