NW Washington | My son put AC into an old two story house that has hot water heat. The ducts are relatively small round tubes that are threaded through the attic and walls to get to all of the rooms. I think this system uses higher pressure in the small tubes.
The system works well and does not make a lot of noise in the house. The air handler is up in the attic. I have no idea of the cost, but I suspect it was not cheap,
Here is link to an AC system like I described. https://www.unicosystem.com/
That said I think the mini-split system would be a better way to go in most retrofit AC situations. | |
