Heat is a good point, because naturally we have it stacked up on everything else. Still seems strange to me that it only gives trouble with a blank disc and when it has already been used...once the disc has been started, you can come back to it and do whatever you want. If you restart the burner, you can do whatever you want. I've had the problem with two different brands of media, and in both cases, it will work after it is restarted. I wish I had a hard drive to save stuff on, but the DVR is my poor boy's substitute. I have a video card in the computor and theoretically I can save things to the hard drive, but I'm not to the point I have confidence in that process yet. The computor seems to get flakey when it gets to trying to capture a large file. I don't really want to miss something because it didn't work.
