I'm not sure, what do you think the established equity farmers should do in times like these?

Stay lean. Many do. Some don't.

Big Ben, I'm sorry. I feel like I dragged you into this. What a ridiculous string of nonsense that you had to go through with rank. I think you have to be the least socialist person on this board.

The little comment about "established equity farmer is used up" is the closest I remember coming to disagreeing with you because I thought you were saying it was likely a guy who owned his land would burn through his equity.

I should have left well enough alone. I agree with you that many guys don't realize how poorly they are doing when they calculate COP because they don't have a numbers guy pointing out their pitiful or negative land ROI.

Yes, stay lean is a good answer to NE Ridger. The other answer from me would be to just be honest with themselves and everyone else. Maybe at least add a little disclaimer after they insist that these prices still work, that they won’t necessarily work for everyone if they don’t happen to have some established equity.

Thanks for the apology, but I drug myself in to this, and it’s pretty easy to not take seriously someone that’s trying to label me a socialist.

All I meant by “established equity farmer is used up” is that he will die someday. Lots of things can change real fast when someone dies, especially if they weren’t paying attention to the accountant.
