Embarrass WI

I would sure like to, I had 2 really good teachers, they are both dead.

I learned the most from my 10th grade Algebra teacher. He would have a "Problem of the Week". Given out on Monday, due on Friday, for extra credit. It was almost always a story problem, the story was a series of clues, and you had to figure out the solution(not normally a math problem). This taught me a lot about how to think, consider all the possibilities, possible outcomes were eliminated one by one with a careful reading of the problem, last answer standing had to be right regardless if it fit with you preconceived notion or not.. I learned the regular book stuff too, but the weekly stumper kept it interesting for me.

He went and died of a heart attack over Christmas vacation when I was in 11th grade, IIRC he was only 48 yrs old at the time.

Thanks for bringing it up.
