EC IA | We had a derecho come there here in July of 2011. It left alot of damage in its path. I lost our house and 3 barns. At by parents we lost 1200hd hog confinement , 3 barns ,3 hoop barns lots of trees. Lots of neighbors lost grain bins, shops, house barns and trees too. We lost or had to euthanize 15 hd. It is something ill never forget and never want to see again. It was tough be because a guy couldn't help out your neighbors all that much because you had just as much stuff damaged as them. The worst stretch of it was about 8 miles wide by 30 miles long. | |
