West KY
You should be able to accomplish this with a John Deere rate controller 2000, it can do multiple products. No need for two entirely separate systems. You will have to create two separate prescriptions, and write a zero rate in the places you want to switch to the other product. Same concept as a multi hybrid planter. Interesting project.

Reading a little further, I think I realize now your dealer is talking about two separate fertilizer systems with separate pumps, flowmeters, control valves, section control valves. If you’re going to use the same flow meter and pump for both products, I would think you could tee into the signal wires for both of these components. Unfortunately, I think you will be getting pump Speed detected and unexpected product flow warnings for the product you are not applying because they are sharing these components.

Keep us updated on your results and build!
