MN | Just had one done yesterday at Ziegler. Was cheaper than piecing the right fittings together on a premade hose. 1/2” hose rated for at least 3,000 psi. They charged $.36 per inch (this was a short hose) plus $7.23 per fitting for a male and female JIC. Then there’s a flat rate for hose assembly. So I paid the most per foot you’d likely see since it was only a 16” hose. The longer the hose, the less it would be since it’s a flat rate for doing it.
Total was $45 I was happy with that. Copied the exact hose it replaced and didn’t have to mess with anything.
This was the first time I had Ziegler do a hose, normally go through local fleet store. After watching them, I’ll likely never go anywhere else. Don’t think I’d really save much and they pay a lot more attention to contamination control and quality. I’ve always seen the person just blow out the hose where Ziegler actually had a special plug the blew through it to get any debris out. Also measured each crimp when done, I’m assuming to make sure it crimped properly.
