WCIN | We have 2 or 3 places that custom grind feed in a 50mi or so radius, from what I’ve been told none of them could care less if they get any new business. Their rates and delivery times reflect this too.
Guy I know who has a knack for diving head first into almost every endeavor that comes his way, bought himself a new grinder-mixer, tractor and a seed tender. Went into the custom grind and deliver business, last I talked to him he was grinding over 1000 bu. of corn a month and delivering it bulk with his seed tender/feed wagon. Been over a year, far as I know he is still at it.
