always seemed to get better seed out of PEI than maine. Less black leg, did have more stones that looked like spuds than other places.Little red rocks that would raise hell with the seed cutter. even running them over the grader with a sounding board didn't get them all. Shipping costs to Buffalo was getting expensive by rail and the demurrage if they weren't off loaded in a day was high. Ad the broker fee to do the border work and it was getting to be a hassle. Still I always thought it would be a nice place to visit... In the summertime,last half of july and the first week of August. |
