Ms. funacres , just wait until you go away and shut off car and dash says "no key detected,re-start with in 15 seconds"........as you can start car and say go back in house and forget keys and drive off.......Wife and I had laways left a set of keys in car in case we lost a set and would use the door keypad too open vehicle until we realized if keys are in console ,car is not locked......
That is the only negative I can see. I now am a little more aware of the dash when my wife gets out and it says "no key detected", especially after driving a mile before shutting it off after dropping her off. I had to call a friend to come bring my wife and her key.
The battery draining problem is maybe just a grounding problem in the fob. |
