I also hate the system. We live on the farm...I have a set of keys for 3 vehicles that I carry. When I need to move one justuse my keys. The keyless unit is bulky (spendy to replace if lost) so it stays in the house. We have been told don't leave keyless unit in the vehicle...it will run down the battery, Even leaving it hang in the garage wall will do that.
