Subject: RE: Tariffs

central - east central Minnesota -

oldbob - 10/5/2018 20:38 I know what a tariff is. Can't say I know very much more. Stopped at a locally owned parts store today. We were shooting the bull and he said he got a letter from some of his suppliers that there would be an increase in price on some of the items he sells. One he mentioned was wiper blades. He said they were going up 15% due to tariffs. Mentioned some other things too. My thoughts are this----I firmly believe that the US has been out traded in a bad way with our business dealings with other countries as far as the difference in tariffs that we are charged for items received from other countries compared to the tariffs that we charge other countries for the items we ship to them. I know that there are some things that are going to cost us more due to the increase of tariffs but what will the items be that tariffs will be reduced on that will give us as consumers a better deal. This was not posted to be political or cause hard feelings. It is something that I don't understand. I am sure there are others with the same questions. Thanks.

the concern with the current Tariff issue . .  . Presidents planning to bring jobs back to the USA, Make the USA great again plan - Well, talk to those that make steel fasteners, steel beams, plastic parts, pencils, machining equipment, pallet racking, fidgets, services, labor type jobs, etc, etc, etc . .  ..  There are no workers to work in these plants (in the USA) to produce these products, deliver the service or simply preform manual labor . . . . .

Edit: Oh, and try and fit in with EPA rules and regulation . . . .
