My vote would be San Antonio. Easy drive to Austin and the Hill Country stuff from there if you want. I have not done South Padre but beaches aren't my thing. I've never been impressed with Galveston. I have been there numerous times, mostly work related and always find it to be kind of scuzzy. Again, salt water and beaches hold no real appeal for me nor does eating a lot of seafood so..... | |
