East Central Arkansas

In the early 80's 2,4,5T was still available and used in rice production.  A mix of it and 2,4 D was sprayed on levees with a hand held electric low volume sprayer. The name of the sprayer was Herbi if I remember correctly. It had like a gallon jug on a pole and the jug was over your shoulder and the low volume spinner on the other end. The pole had a stack of D batteries in it to run the spinner and the chemical gravity fed to the spinner. Those jugs were bad about leaking and you had a like a 50% solution of those chemicals in the jug leaking on your shoulder running down your back. You also were walking through the at least knee high rice and weeds you had just sprayed.
