S.W. Mn | For 30 years I farmed DNR food plots and I had to leave 33% of soybeans in field till spring for the pheasants. Was supposed to combine 2 strips and leave 1 strip, but often I would just leave the 33% in a big patch in middle of field for snow reasons. When I combined those patches in spring they usually averaged 50% of fall yield. The oil content was very low so always brought to local coop because they didn't check for low oil content like processor did . One out of 10 years would barely have any lost yield, and one out of 10 would be zero yield. Visual quality was always quite good. | |
