I think the fact that you question is what keeps you from following blindly false gods. Most of the other posters give excellent answers. I would add that God did not only give up his son knowing that in 3 days he would rise from the dead. In death Jesus suffered the sin of all mankind and descended into hell to conquer the devil - he then rose from the dead and in doing so conquered all sin. So it was not as simple as I will see you in three days. I truely did not care for the movie - but if you watch the "Passion" it will give you a little understanding of the suffering Jesus faced. He was betrayed by everyone even his followers. For a Father to allow that to happen to his son who is really himself is beyond comprehension. Keep questioning - go to church (God commands it) and do bible studies - all these things will bring you closer to an understanding. I am amazed at some people I know that have that blind faith also - I don't have it but I wish I did. Good luck. |
