Nebraska Panhandle | First off to help you understand better I think you must look at understanding the Trinity. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. 3 God's in one. Yet 1 God. God the Father gave his only Son to die for the sins of all mankind. In doing so a part of God himself died for the sins of all people -- those who lived in the past -- those who live now -- those who will live in the future. Saying you would give up your son if he would come back in 3 days and be looked upon with such honor would be alright with you is looking at things from a mortal mans view. God looks from a divine view and we can't begin to compare our thoughts to his. Having some doubts about God once in a while is a normal human reaction. We all do. We wonder sometimes about the awesomeness of God's world and how all of this came into being. And sometimes we wonder about life in general -- about what the Bible tells us about God's kingdom -- sometimes what seems to just not make sense to us -- that some things just don't agree with our mankind way of thinking. Jesus tells us to "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." "For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to hom who knocks, the door will be opened." Like the other posts say -- join a bible study group - talk to your pastor -- God is waiting for you and has the answers. An older member of our congregation told me once as we were talking about our faith. She said: "You know when you know when you know." How very true. Hope this helps. God's blessings.
