Check out a book by Lee Strobel-called "The Case for Christ". He was an athiest and Yale educated investigative reporter. He set out on a 2 year project to prove the bible false.
Long story short he is now a christian and has written several books on the subject.
Good writer-takes a scientific/non-bias approach to his research. Very interesting.
