Suver, Oregon | There's nothing wrong with asking questions. I attend a men's bible study and ask questions like this quite often.
I too have wondered about the meaning of Jesus's death on the cross, knowing that he would be risen in three days, and where the "amazing" part of that scenario comes from??
But there is more to it than that. God HATES sin. Jesus had to be separated from his father, and take on the sins of the world. Not just for those living at that time, but for you and I as well.
I have to believe that that was a painful process, at levels I never will be able to comprehend. And Jesus did this for me, not knowing if I would accept him as my Savior.
I hope that others have better replies than mine, so I can learn more also.
The Men's bible study I attend is the highlight of my week, and has help my understanding grow by leaps and bounds. I would recomend that anyone who is asking questions find a good group to study with.
Garth.
