Kansas | If this is customary, it's not something that I am aware of.
What is the general consensous thought of sending a thank you card to the pastor for the time he spent teaching and confirming my daughter?
Is that something that is not necessary or would it be inappropriate? I don't think so but sometimes I have assumed things before and got it all wrong.
Also.......I know in the past when I got married, I slipped some cash into the pastors pocket for gratitude for performing the service.
What about for the daughters confirmation? I wouldn't consider it paying for teaching. More like monetary gratitude out of the graciousness of my heart.
Would that be out of line?
This isn't something I've ever heard discussed before. Thought maybe I'd throw it out and let you folks comment on it. I don't want to insult or cross a line or anything similar. Just like to let pastor know in a way I appreciate his efforts.
opinions?
