Subject: Re: Breaking in the New Guy

Princeton, MN
Back in High school we had a mechanic class where we worked on stuff in the shop for 3 hours. Part of the class was spending the week as the "parts man" which meant ordering the stuff that was needed by the students. I played hockey with this guy and he was fairly roostery, so I told him to get me a carb for a 7.3 powerstroke. So like I expected he called the Auto Value and asked for one, but the parts guy there was new and actually tried to look it up. He wasnt having any luck finding it and said he would call back. Next thing we know the owner of the parts store came in and chewed my teacher, as well as me a new one. The guy who owns that store still gives me a dirty look when I come in, but we buy a large amount of parts from then so he feels he has to try to be my friend.

Pranks are all sorts of fun when they do not involve something that is dangerous or cause property damage, but a little wasted time isnt gonna kill anyone.

We did the same type of thing MN Dve 2 is talking about in tech school, when some guys started up a piece of equipment they had just worked on someone would bang on the machine with a hammer just to mess with them. Then there was one guy who had a little craftsman top tool box that just happen to fit nicely in a rock box, problem is you couldnt fit your hands in to reach the handles to lift it out. He got me back by taking the perforated plastic mats out of the urinals and hid them under the drawer liners in my toolbox, took me a couple of days to catch what the smell was from in that corner of the shop.
