Driftless SW Wisconsin

puff33m - 9/30/2018 17:25 How do George's heifer calves look? I have a feeling those will be big nice girls. Maybe you would send those to NC Granville?

George's calves look great both heifers and steers. I'm definitely not going to part with any of his Hereford/Fleckvieh cross heifers out of this first group of cross calves. I want to see what they'll do as cows before I start harvesting them as terminal heifers.

I also really like my pure Hereford heifers out of my Schu-Lar and EFBeef Tested bulls. They will be my base cows going into the future. this spring's Tested sired steers look especially good and not far behind the fleck crosses on growth. However the Fleck cross steers really have some butt and should grade and yield well.

Some folks asked for some pics of the Fleck Hereford cross calves. I took some pics this afternoon and will do a top level post after I get the pics sorted out.
