Subject: How much "stock" do you put in a persons online character?

I made the mistake of going down to the boiler room and looking around after seeing a subject line in the menu that made me curious. After reading a bit down there, it occurred to me that maybe I had the wrong impression of a few folks on this site. Which.................led to the curiosity of how much people trust other's online character when they make decisions about someone's honesty or integrity etc.

So......................how much do you rely on what a person says here or online anywhere before you make the decision to meet or do business with them? Or to even give out your personal email to them or whatever like that? Curious is all. Its raining again.
