270 - 330 rotor speed. Concave, set to start breaking up cobs, then back it off a little. Most likely you aren't getting all the grain off the cob before it goes through the chopper. You don't say which combine or header size. My R66 Avgs 2500 bph with an 8 row head. Usually running 2700 to 2900 bph with very little loss.
