We have a heard about the same size, we have also thought about buying hay instead. we have not switch yet, I actually enjoying making hay so its hard to let it go.
that being said we put up about 500 bales of alfalfa/ grass and 300 corn stalks/yr. We try to have 1.5 years worth of hay on hand.
If you decide to sell as someone else said, figure out how much waste hay you have and get that number down first.
