3/4 horse, assume 3/4 kilowatt. It's actually not, but for inefficiencies, that's the typical way of figuring.
3/4's of a kw/hr will be $.09. So about 2.7 dollars a month, or 30 odd dollars a year. Peanuts, in the scheme of things. Emphasize that you're available anytime to help him pull and replace the pump if it goes bad.
