Subject: RE: Pelleted Chicken Manure on organic crops

North Central Illinois
Pros:
Cheapest freight per lb of NPK
Spreads easily with a lime spreader
Easy to get uniform spread

Cons
Usually priced fairly high
Dusty, which isn't too much fun with an open station loader
I assume that most of the ammonium N is lost in the pelleting process, but I am buying based on the nutrient test after pelleting (wet manure that hasn't been incorporated promptly will likely lose the ammonium N anyhow).
