Bourbon, Indiana | That's how my dad was (or i guess still is) he can't part with hardly anything. He still has his old ih 915 combine in the shed yet and he has made it perfectly clear that untill he's 6' under he isn't selling it. haha tha'ts ok though, according to him I've made him get rid of alot of stuff that he said he would never get rid of. starting with an old case combine, a case 730 and 1030, (he loved his cases, still has his 530 loader though). Actually thats about all I've asked him to trade in on anything since I started farming with him 9 years ago. Wait Wait Wait, he did decide this morning to let go of his IH 4186 on trade with another tractor. He still has his umpteen antique tractors yet though.
I don't mind so much the keeping stuff that you like but when the piece you wanna keep is worth about 3000 and is stored inside year around and keeps other machinery that's valued at 40,000 sitting outside theeeeeen I think it's time to let go of stuff.
P.S. He has a loader exactly like that cept he uses it to haul wood
