| I think you can give the man the benefit of the doubt when you are talking about an axle failure on a motor vehicle (contrary to some here, that is not "normal"!), that COULD endanger someone's life under the wrong circumstances, vs. some adjustment knobs on a trash wiper?
How long have they been putting salt on the roads in MN and WI? I would guess at least since the 70's, probably earlier. So what happened that cars are no longer expected to withstand road salt corrosion in 2009?
And for someone to work at a dealer for 17 years and never see this happen - THAT IS EXACTLY THE POINT. You should never see this happen.
This is exactly why the auto industry is where it is.
Sorry that I'm going to piss a few people off with my post.
(And yes I am a die hard Ford guy too)
