American auto manufacturers have been using cheap Chinese steel for years in an effort to reduce cost. This crap rusts so quickly that in a couple years, alignment adjustments are about impossible without a torch to heat things up.
Get a used axle assembly from a wrecking yard and send it down the road to someone else.
